Are you still a Photographer?

I'm asked.

I suppose so, but now that I have your attention, I'd rather tell you a story.

Admittedly photography was a great way to get the attention I needed, but eventually my own life became more interesting (to me) than the lives of the many personalities I was hired to photograph.  For all of the years behind the lens of a camera, nothing I photographed caused me to cry from the heart, or laugh from the belly.

When I write, I do both.

Below is a collection of 'ruminations'; a description coined by an old friend who has written his entire adult life, and who knew me before I took pictures for a living, and well before writing anything legible; nevermind interesting.

They are nothing more than anecdotal, but for the fun I had typing them, and the sweet and sour flavor like the cabbage soup my mother made for my father to 'doctor', they are here for you instead of a traditional 'about us' list of achievements.

The words that flow on their own like water trickling in a creek.  They are the background music to the memory, and as the 'point' is made, like a code broken, like a toilet flushed, when it's over, I'm done.
